Foreign Population in Granada Sees Big Increase

The population of Granada province has grown to 934,072 inhabitants as of January 1, 2023, marking an increase of 8,053 people compared to the previous year. Within this figure, the foreign population accounts for 77,605 individuals, showing an addition of roughly 6,590 people from the previous year. These figures stem from preliminary data from the National Statistics Institute (INE). While the national population has seen some shifts, its trend has been more stable compared to the growth seen among foreign residents. Overall, the rise in the foreign population over the last decade aligns closely with the province’s total population increase.
